Urban Edge doesn't compromise on sustainability for the sake of style. From the outset, accredited Green Star professionals were engaged and subtropical design principles have inspired the design process. By adopting sustainable principles, Urban Edge will take advantage of the natural environment and maximise a connection to the landscape.

Sustainable design features at Urban Edge include low energy transport opportunities, energy efficient appliances and innovative recycling techniques. Several measures in comfort and visual quality have been taken to respond to the climate such as providing glazing in all buildings, using West-facing facades to avoid the heat, and creating a natural cross flow of ventilation to all of the apartments.

In addition to this, Pradella has a track record of sustainability, having achieved Five Star Green Star ratings for their development 154 Melbourne Street in South Brisbane.
